Wait I promised a DJ mix up soon? Damn.  Once I find the balance between mixing, school work, and sitting doing nothing, mixes will up at a consistent rate. Until then, the eta for the next mix is Thursday night, word up.


I would like to encourage everybody to buy the formerly shelved, but newly released album Kamaal The Abstract by Q-Tip. I forgot that it was being released this month and upon my latest visit to Record and Tape Traders, I stumbled into it and included it in my binge CD purchase in which I also found Muddy Waters by Redman for $5, Aquemini by Outkast for $7, and Special Herbs Box Set By MF DOOM for $10. All of these album are great and it is pleasure to finally get to listen to them above the awful quality that I downloaded them in. As far as Kamaal The Abstract, it is a great album in which Q-Tip arranges a variety of music and while spitting the occasional vocal. Not your average rap album and not your average “look at me I’m a rapper but I’m experimental”(shout out to kanye) album. I definitely recommend it.

This Sunday I’m Djing at Fish Head Cantina again at 8pm. If you are a baltimroe head you should come. If you do, you will have the priveledge of seeing me rejecting drunk girls song requests and breaking in Kamaal The Abstract.
